Dire Miscalculation

After receiving Hannah's latest letter I began thinking about the future, as I too often do.  Big mistake.  I've now learned the lesson never to think about what you want to do when your missionary gets home.  Once you do, inevitably you'll realize that she doesn't come home for another 60 weeks, and on top of that all of this time you have been waiting has only been 16 weeks.  You'll also realize that this means you still have to wait three times as long as you already have in order to do any of those things.

Some days those 16 weeks seem like they have flown by, even so, the number 60 is quite imposing.

i say stop counting all together. i have never waited for a missionary, but i can imagine how the days, weeks, and months can roll out in front of you in a very daunting way. at this point, only cheesy cliches like "hang in there." or "it will fly by, just you wait and see." are coming to me, so i will stop now.
one more thing- you can always get one of those digital countdown calendars. :D

if you were a girl waiting for a guy, you'd still have like...20 months. but since you have what, 14or so months, you'll be at only a year left soon. thats pretty good.

Actually, Anonymous, if I was a girl waiting for a guy I would've been married 3 weeks ago... Haha

SMC- have you not noticed the digital countdown clock at the top of this blog? I made that! Take notice!
